Myrna Interior visits Salone del Mobile 2025
As an interior design enthusiast, designer or trend watcher, you can’t really ignore it: the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Every year in April, this world city transforms into the beating heart of design, innovation and inspiration. In 2025, it was time again. With the theme “Thought for Humans”, the fair focused on sustainability, innovation and human-oriented design – and Myrna Interior was there to soak up the latest interior trends.

What is the Salone del Mobile?
The Salone del Mobile Milano is the largest and most important furniture fair in the world. Since 1961, brands, designers and design enthusiasts have come together here to explore the future of living and working. The event is so much more than just a trade fair: it is an international design event with over 1,000 activities spread across the city. In addition to the official trade fair at Fiera Milano, the focus is also on the Fuorisalone – the events and installations in design districts such as Brera, Tortona and Isola.
Theme 2025: Thought for Humans
This year’s central theme, “Thought for Humans”, put people at the heart of the design process. Sustainability, circularity, technology and well-being came together in designs that are not only beautiful, but also have a positive impact. From smart furniture to recycled materials and modular design: the focus was on interior design that improves the quality of life. Perfectly in line with our vision at Myrna Interior, where we always strive for stylish and well-thought-out solutions.
Trends and inspiration for your interior
During our visit, we gained an incredible amount of inspiration. Here are a few trends you’ll definitely see in 2025:
- Organic shapes: Round lines and flowing shapes create calm and comfort.
- Earth tones & natural materials: Think wood, natural stone and linen, combined with warm colours such as terracotta, sand and olive green.
- Technological integration: Smart furniture and lighting systems are becoming increasingly accessible.
- Sustainable design: Recyclable and ecological materials are increasingly taking centre stage.
- Multifunctional spaces: Furniture that adapts to different lifestyles and small living spaces.
