For this Amsterdam project, the goal was to create an interior filled with character, warmth, and a strong sense of individuality. The client wanted to move away from a conventional design and embrace a bold, atmospheric style featuring rich colors and luxurious materials.
The foundation of the design consists of deep burgundy and plum tones combined with dark wall finishes, warm wood textures, and elegant metal accents. Together, these elements create an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere where comfort and luxury exist in perfect harmony.
Lighting played a key role throughout the project. By incorporating multiple light sources at carefully selected locations, the space transforms throughout the day and evening. The warm lighting highlights the richness of the materials and adds depth and ambiance to the interior.
To create balance and contrast, I selected a light herringbone wooden floor. This prevents the darker color palette from feeling overwhelming while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. Soft fabrics, layered textures, and carefully curated accessories further enhance the feeling of comfort and understated luxury.
The result is a contemporary interior with a refined boutique-hotel character, where every corner invites relaxation and enjoyment. A home that is not only visually striking but also exceptionally comfortable to live in.
From the initial design concept and color consultation to material selection, furnishing, and final styling, I guided every phase of the project. The result is a distinctive interior that perfectly reflects the lifestyle and personality of its owners.
